As the twins walked home from school on their birthday they passed by the old house that they lived in when their father was still alive. Which brought back old memories for them. When they got home they were surprised by their grandma that they don't see very often. She brought many presents and their very special story book. Alex soon found out that it was magical but kept it a secret from Conner. Conner soon found out after a few days. Then they both found out it led to a magical world, but they accidently fell through. And are facing challenges to get back home to their mother.
